Greensburg, IN

HNTB was responsible for the design of a new, 5.5 MGD surface water treatment plant in the City of Greensburg, Indiana. The project included the design of chemical feed systems, rapid mix, solids contact clarifiers, gravity filtration, post-tension concrete clear-well storage, high-service pumping, new office and laboratory facilities, and field operation and maintenance building. HNTB was responsible for overall design management, including several multidiscipline subconsultants. The new surface water treatment plant is adjacent to the existing facilities and the new facilities were designed while keeping the existing plant in operation.

Upon completion of design, HNTB was responsible for construction engineering and construction oversight of the drinking water facilities.
