Seasoned professional and demonstrated leader with extensive local experience to expand opportunities and drive operational growth
HOUSTON (April 15, 2024) – HNTB Corporation, a leading infrastructure solutions firm, has named Russ Poppe, PE, Houston office leader and vice president. He leads a team of multi-disciplinary transportation infrastructure professionals who deliver highway, toll, aviation, transit, municipal, water and other services to clients.
Poppe brings more than two decades of experience in project management, executive leadership and client relations. He most recently served HNTB as a national practice consultant offering invaluable support to clients in navigating and executing flood control programs across local, state and federal levels.

Prior to joining HNTB in 2021, Poppe served as the executive director of the Harris County Flood Control District, where his leadership was instrumental in advancing complex infrastructure initiatives while fostering strong relationships with community leaders and elected officials.

Poppe is a registered professional engineer in Texas. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University.
