Marty Williams named HNTB chief information officer

Brings more than two decades of leadership and information systems expertise

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Jan. 23, 2023) – Marty Williams has been named HNTB Corporation’s chief information officer and senior vice president. Based in the firm’s Kansas City office, Williams is responsible for technology strategy and driving digital innovation and is accountable for firmwide technical services including technology project delivery, software development, procurement, information security, infrastructure, and IT operations and support. He also will provide oversight and direction regarding standards and opportunities for shared services and economies of scale.

Williams has held many technology leadership roles over the past two decades, including product management, project and program management, software engineering, cyber security, IT operations, sales operations and sales across multiple industries. Most recently, he led product and technology teams as CIO for a global experience management and data analytics firm. Prior to that he led all enterprise technology operations and engineering for a leading digital government firm. Williams also is a United States Marine veteran.

Williams earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from Tulane University, a master’s in telecommunications and computer information systems from Southern Methodist University, and an MBA from Campbell University.
