HNTB's Milwaukee office was established in 1956, and since then we have expanded into Madison and Green Bay to provide nearly 200 engineers, planners, technicians, designers and support personnel for our Wisconsin clients. Today’s HNTB's professionals continue to help transform American transportation and infrastructure in Wisconsin by leading significant design and construction work for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, such as the Zoo Interchange, Madison Beltline Flex Lanes, Lone Rock River Bridges, Statewide 2050 Long-Term Plan, TCMC Rail, I-94 East-West, Lake Interchange, I-41 Fox Valley, I-43 North-South and Wisconsin State Highway 50.

HNTB also has a rich local history in Milwaukee delivering for the City and County, where the firm has been a trusted partner on important planning and design projects, including the Milwaukee Streetcar, Milwaukee East-West Bus Rapid Transit, Near South Side Neighborhood Plan, North-South Bus Rapid Transit, Downtown Comprehensive Plan, St. Paul Avenue Lift Bridge and numerous other bridge and roadway projects. Our Milwaukee office is also proud to have been named the 2019 Design Firm of the Year by ENR Midwest, along with  Milwaukee Business Journal's Best Places to Work in 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020.
