AASHTO Committee on Environment Annual Meeting
On July 11th-13th, 2022, the AASHTO Committee on Environment and Sustainability will host its annual meeting in downtown Austin, Texas. The members in attendance consist of the state department of transportation environmental practitioners, representatives from the Federal Highway Administration, and other key stakeholders. The meeting will address topics including federal environmental laws, regulations, and guidance as well as provide an opportunity to hear about state DOT activities related to air quality, cultural resources, environmental process, natural resources and other environmental issues facing state transportation departments. Additionally, this meeting will present the opportunity to discuss the implementation of new programs created under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), signed by President Biden last winter.
