Join us to celebrate Dr. Andrew Farkas for the 2021 Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC) – HNTB Lifetime Achievement Award for University Transportation Education and Research. Dr. Farkas is a recently retired Professor of Transportation at Morgan State University (MSU), who was Director of MSU’s National Transportation Center, past President of CUTC from 2004-2005, and dedicated his entire career to educating the next generation of transportation professionals at a Historically Black Research University (HBCU) since the 1980s. Furthermore, he advanced technology, conducted impactful research, and emphasized equity through pioneering internship programs for students and research that regularly engaged and assisted traditionally underserved communities in the surrounding Baltimore area.
