T. Parker McCrary joins HNTB’s Southeast Division as deputy program manager for freight and logistics

Industry veteran and expert brings three decades of experience in freight transportation and goods mobility

ATLANTA (August 15, 2023)T. Parker McCrary has joined HNTB as deputy program manager for freight and logistics in the Southeast Division. In this role, he will support clients in the Southeast and across the country with maximizing and advancing their freight and logistics infrastructure programs. McCrary’s expertise includes transportation technology, intermodal rail, terminal site selection, freight brokerage, asset management, and rail, port and truckload carrier operations. His expertise will further expand HNTB’s capabilities and services in strategic transportation planning and policy, multimodal freight and supply chain planning, and economic development and investment decision making.

Before joining HNTB, McCrary worked for numerous private sector firms developing carrier supply chain solutions that leveraged technology to modernize and advance freight transportation programs and procedures. Over the course of his career, he has worked on several large-scale projects including the Virginia Avenue Tunnel Renovation in Washington D.C.; the Valleyfield rail mainline relocation; intermodal terminal development in Montreal; and intermodal connectivity projects between ports in Virginia, Maryland and Ohio. He has worked in multiple freight transportation modes, including air, rail, shipping and trucking, throughout the globe.

McCrary has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Davidson College and received a Master of Business Administration from Emory University. He is a member of the Transportation Intermediaries Association and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
