Brings 25 years’ leadership experience with environmental reviews, permitting and compliance for complex infrastructure projects
OAKLAND, Calif. (June 2, 2023) – Serge M. Stanich has joined HNTB as program manager responsible for environmental planning, permitting and compliance for major infrastructure projects. He is based in the firm’s office in Oakland.
Stanich has more than 25 years’ experience in leadership positions serving as an owner’s representative, program leader and project manager for state and federal environmental reviews, regulatory permitting, natural resource management and construction compliance.
“As a trusted environmental leader, Serge has consistently demonstrated his skills with stakeholder engagement and consensus building that have led to successful regulatory approvals for complex transportation projects,” said Jeff Watson, PE, PMP, HNTB Northern California office leader and vice president. “His strong technical expertise and years of experience with environmental clearances with rail projects will be an asset as we continue to serve our clients.”
Prior to joining HNTB, Stanich served as director of environmental services for the California High Speed Rail Authority as an appointee for the Governor of California and worked for several consulting firms.
Stanich earned a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies from California State University, Sacramento.
