Expert brings more than 27 years of civil and environmental engineering experience to role
PARSIPPANY, N.J. (August 28, 2024) – Scott Minnich, P.E. has joined HNTB as a senior technical advisor and associate vice president leading the water resources practice in the firm’s New Jersey office. With 27 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering, Minnich’s expertise spans various areas including stream hydraulic analyses, stormwater management, dredging and dam inspection and rehabilitation.

Throughout his career, Minnich has been at the forefront of climate resiliency initiatives. His expertise extends to addressing challenges like sea level rise, increased storm intensity, and other extreme weather events. Minnich has provided guidance to state transportation agencies including the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, the South Jersey Transportation Authority and the New Jersey Department of Transportation. His contributions have been pivotal in implementing the New Jersey Against Climate Threats (PACT) regulations and establishing robust climate resiliency programs.
Minnich received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Lafayette College. He chairs the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey land use and permitting committee and contributes to the Jersey Water Works green infrastructure committee. Minnich is a licensed professional engineer in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
