NEW YORK, NY (Oct. 26, 2023) – Sanja Zlatanic, HNTB’s national tunnel practice leader, was named to Women We Admire’s 2023 Top 50 Women Leaders in Construction and Civil Works List. The annual honors celebrate the achievements of women in the industry who have contributed to infrastructure development by successfully undertaking diverse projects ranging from residential buildings to highways, bridges, tunnels, airports and dams. Women We Admire is a national organization of accomplished executive women from across the U.S. and Canada.
“It’s an honor to be recognized for my work in the industry among women who are at the top of their respective fields,” said Zlatanic. “It’s gratifying to see more and more women not only entering into engineering fields but leading transformational projects that improve mobility and quality of life.”
Zlatanic has more than 30 years of national and international experience in engineering and design management of major, complex tunnel and underground projects. She has managed all phases of multibillion-dollar projects including extensive multidisciplinary joint venture staff, from feasibility and conceptual engineering through final design and construction.
Zlatanic is an HNTB Fellow and recognized for her extraordinary accomplishments practicing technical excellence and introducing innovative approaches related to minimizing impacts of tunneling to densely populated urban environments, communities and businesses.
