Rob Ostermiller joins HNTB as senior project director in West region

Veteran engineering leader brings nearly four decades of transportation industry experience, including PM/CM and design-build leadership roles

DENVER (Oct. 26, 2022) – Robert Ostermiller, PE, has joined HNTB as senior project director and vice president in Denver. In this role, Ostermiller will provide leadership and innovative solutions to transportation clients on big programs. Ostermiller will work closely with clients throughout Colorado, California and the Western states to develop and deliver the region’s largest and most complex transportation projects.

Ostermiller comes to HNTB with nearly four decades of progressive experience in project and program management, including leading large alternative delivery projects for the past 21 years. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and senior program director for another consulting firm. Earlier in his career, Ostermiller worked for nine years in the Middle East and Asia where he served mainly as a consultant to governments and oversaw large infrastructure programs.

Ostermiller earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Oregon Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Oregon State College. He is a registered professional engineer in Colorado, designated design-build professional from the Design-Build Institute of America, and certified construction manager from the Construction Management Association of America.
