Lacy Vong named as HNTB San Jose location leader

Veteran transportation professional is focused on growth and operation of the firm’s multimodal practice in California

SAN JOSE, Calif. (May 22, 2023) – Lacy Vong has been named HNTB Corporation’s location leader for the San Jose office. Vong has been with the firm since 2020, previously serving as senior project manager, department manager and deputy operations manager for Northern California. In her new role, she leads HNTB’s strategy to continue growing in Santa Clara County and throughout the state.

With more than two decades of experience, Vong has worked in transportation equity, technology & systems planning, operations, compliance and policy development. For 15 years before joining HNTB, she analyzed a range of policy issues and worked with municipalities, metropolitan planning and transportation commissions, transit agencies, and transportation authorities to understand federal requirements and regulations.

Vong earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from Brooklyn College and a Master of Science in public policy & management from Carnegie Mellon University. Her professional affiliations include the WTS International, International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association, and Coro Northern California Women in Leadership.
