Justine Belizaire selected to join the CMCI Board of Governors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Nov. 2, 2023) – Justine Belizaire has been selected to a three-year term on the Construction Management Certification Institute (CMCI) Board of Governors. In this role, Belizaire, will help carry out CMCI’s mission to recognize construction management experience through certification.

“Identifying and ensuring the distinction of experienced construction management professionals through education and certification is essential to assuring the integrity of our profession,” said Belizaire. “CMAA is an important resource for construction management professionals, and CMCI instituting and promoting the framework for the next generation is necessary to the industry’s growth and meeting the responsibility we have to deliver for our clients.”

Belizaire joined CMAA in 2007, obtained her CCM in 2020 and has more than 35 years in the industry. Since obtaining her CCM, Belizaire has volunteered on several CMAA committees, including the Committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (CODE), which proposes and prioritizes policy, strategies and tactics to support CMAA’s commitments to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) and the CMCI Exam Writing Committee as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the CMCI credentialing program. Earlier this year, Belizaire contributed to the update of the CMAA Risk Management Guidelines.

Last year, Belizaire was awarded the CCM Champion Coin of Excellence, which is given to exceptional individuals who embody the highest standards of professionalism and support a culture of certification within the construction management industry.
