HNTB sees significant growth in new downtown Nashville office

Firm plans to double its local team to serve the infrastructure needs of Tennessee

NASHVILLE (August 3, 2023) – HNTB’s new office in downtown Nashville has quickly expanded, growing its local team by 35% in the four months since it has opened, with plans to double the size of the team in the coming months. HNTB opened the office to support the increasing amount of transportation and infrastructure related programs in the state.

“We are excited to grow our presence in the state of Tennessee,” said Tim Morgan, HNTB’s senior vice president and Georgia/Tennessee office leader. “This new, larger office allows us to better serve our clients as they expand their investments in transportation infrastructure to meet the economic and population growth of the state.”

The new office space is in the vibrant downtown area of Nashville and a short distance from the capital. “We have a dedicated and talented team in Nashville, and we will add more team members to meet the increasing demand for our wide range of services, including planning, engineering, design, architecture and program management and construction management” said Robbie Hayes, HNTB’s Tennessee group director.

The firm currently has offices located throughout the Southeast with nearly a thousand employees focused on providing planning, design, and program and construction management for a wide range of transportation clients.

HNTB’s signature projects in the region include performing program management services for the Georgia Department of Transportation; general planning consulting for Atlanta’s MARTA transit system; design of the GoRaleigh Bus Rapid Transit expansion in North Carolina; design of Orlando International Airport’s Terminal C, and design of a new international terminal at Tampa International Airport.
