HNTB relocates Miami office

New expanded space supports firm’s growth and client needs in South Florida

MIAMI (July 29, 2024) – HNTB recently celebrated the opening of its new Miami office with an open house for clients, partners, local officials and employees. In 2024, HNTB celebrates 110 years as a firm and 70 years in Miami. One of the firm’s first projects was designing the Brickell Avenue movable bridge in Miami.HNTB's Miami office lobby

HNTB has played a key role in planning, design and construction for many of the region’s most impactful transportation infrastructure projects, working alongside clients such as the Florida Department of Transportation, Greater Miami Expressway Agency, City of Miami and Miami-Dade County.

From designing Section 1 of the Palmetto Expressway to currently leading the design of the Northeast Corridor project as part of the Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DPTW) Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Program. Other significant transportation infrastructure projects the firm has worked on include serving as the Greater Miami Expressway’s General Engineering Consultant and supporting the tollway improvements on State Route 836, serving as the Miami-Dade County Aviation Department bond consultant, providing construction engineering inspection services for South Transitway for Miami-Dade County, supporting the planning through construction of Florida’s Regional Express Lane Network, system management of FDOT’s Truck Parking Availability System, and design, project management and construction services for the Brightline Florida project.

HNTB continues its long-standing history of community and industry involvement in South Florida by participating in initiatives and organizations such as CoMotion Miami, South Florida WTS, American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida, Conference of Minority Transportation Officials and many others.
