Transit and rail expert returns to New York after more than two decades of success delivering for Seattle transit clients

NEW YORK (Oct. 6, 2022) – Kevin R. Collins, PE, has been named as New York office leader for HNTB Corporation. Based in the Empire State Building, Collins will lead over 300 multi-disciplinary professionals in the New York office as they serve a wide range of clients embarking upon an historic level of infrastructure improvement and expansion projects. During his time in that role, Collins successfully expanded the size of the office, growing it to over 300 employees and saw the office post double-digit year over year sales and revenue growth. Of most value under his leadership, HNTB grew in its role as trusted advisor to numerous transit and transportation agencies in Washington state, helping them through significant challenges brought on by the pandemic as well as economic and social upheaval.

“Kevin is a unique individual with the right combination of vision for the future of the office, of authentic leadership for our people, and dedication to delivering for our clients,” said Northeast Division president, Phil Brake. “Building on an already strong foundation of over 100 years of doing business in New York, Kevin is going to see to it that the firm continues to deliver for the State of New York into the next century and beyond.”

A member of several civic organizations during his two decades in Seattle, Collins will look to continue his dedication to civic and industry organizations in New York. According to Collins: “Besides the incredible importance of the day-to-day work delivering for our clients, there is also the importance of helping to shape the future of our industry and communities, focusing on inclusiveness and equitable opportunities within our office and our project teams.”
