CHICAGO (April 18, 2024) HNTB, a leading infrastructure solutions firm, has expanded its Chicago office to support its growth and accommodate the addition of new team members. This expansion is in response to the increased demand for HNTB’s services and aligns with the firm’s commitment to meeting the evolving transportation needs of the Chicagoland area.

“The expansion of our office reflects our current and future growth as we continue to add new professionals to the HNTB team in order to best serve our clients,” said Albert Sosa, PE, HNTB Chicago office leader and senior vice president. “We’re currently looking to add talent in a wide range of positions from senior construction representatives, highway designers, field engineers, transit planners, finance associates, data scientists, and more as we prepare for our clients’ future needs.”

The firm expanded to the 25th floor of the One South Wacker building to a 32,178-square-foot office space. The increased footprint is designed to create a dynamic working environment and foster innovation and collaboration among employees.

For more than five decades, HNTB has been integral to developing Chicago’s transportation system, contributing expert planning, design, and construction services to the region’s most transformative infrastructure initiatives. The firm has been involved in shaping key infrastructure in the area, including the iconic Kennedy Expressway. HNTB also supported the comprehensive redesign of the Chicago Transit Authority’s Wilson Station, oversaw the Illinois Tollway’s extensive Move Illinois program, and led major improvements at O’Hare and Midway International Airports.

The firm has also earned recognition for its commitment to workforce diversity. It was recently honored with the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association’s Corporate Professional Services Firm of the Year Award. This award highlights HNTB’s continued support of HACIA’s mission to promote fair and inclusive participation within the construction industry.

“We are honored to be recognized with this award that is a reflection of our commitment to diverse representation in our workforce, our project partnerships and the positive impact we aim to have in the communities we work with,” said Sosa.

The firm also continues to attract industry-leading talent, adding several transportation planning and digital transformation solutions experts to its Chicago team last year, bolstering HNTB’s ability to deliver innovative mobility solutions. As part of its growth, HNTB’s Chicago office is actively seeking top-tier talent to join its team of professionals shaping the future of the city’s infrastructure.
