Talented project manager brings extensive international sports architecture and retail construction expertise
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 12, 2023) – Simmie Clincy, PMP, has joined HNTB Corporation as senior project manager for the firm’s architecture practice. Based in the Kansas City studio, he will be supporting large-scale architectural projects for multi-building programs.
“We are pleased to welcome Simmie and add his creative, technical and project management experience to our national architecture practice,” said David López Tomé, HNTB national architecture leader. “His strong communication skills, problem solving abilities and collaborative approach with project management will be an asset to our team and to our architecture clients.”
Prior to joining HNTB, Clincy worked for another architecture firm in Kansas City as operations manager. He was responsible for project delivery of the Americas sports architecture practice, from project initiation to project construction administration and closeout. His prior work experience included several years of project management for retail and government construction.
Clincy received a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design from Kansas State University, a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas and is certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.
Clincy also is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects and a retired U.S. Army Reserve officer who served two tours of duty in Iraq.
