Christopher White rejoins HNTB as bridge design practice consultant

Accomplished industry professional brings more than 35 years of experience delivering complex bridge structures

HOUSTON (Feb. 26, 2024) – Christopher White, PE, has rejoined HNTB Corporation as a bridge design practice consultant, bringing more than 35 years of proven leadership and comprehensive bridge expertise. White’s expertise has been pivotal in effectively delivering major bridge projects across the U.S. and internationally, spanning from conceptual development to final design and delivery. His involvement extends to contractor-support design during construction, as well as load rating and rehabilitation of existing structures.

White is a Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute Fellow and currently serves as the chairman of its Bridge Committee. He is a member of the joint Post-Tensioning Institute / American Segmental Bridge Institute DC-40 Bridge Design Committee and the ASBI Technology and Innovation Committee’s Design Subcommittee. He also advises the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials’ Concrete Committee concerning ongoing development of Section 5 of the “LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.”

Prior to HNTB, White served as a senior technical advisor of structures for another consulting firm in Houston. He earned a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas and ten other states.
