Former Brightline executive brings 30 years of industry expertise to director role
LAKE MARY, Fla. (August 13, 2024) – Christine Kefauver has joined HNTB as a project director and vice president in the firm’s Lake Mary office, bringing with her 30 years of transportation industry knowledge and experience.

Her knowledge of the transportation landscape in Florida, paired with her professional commitment will further complement our team,” said George Gilhooley, HNTB’s East Florida office leader and senior vice president. “Christine’s extensive experience in the public and private sectors will continue to enhance the services we provide and how we serve our clients.”
In her new role at HNTB, Kefauver will be instrumental in serving the firm’s municipal markets in Florida and bringing the range of services HNTB provides to clients across the state. Prior to joining HNTB, Kefauver served as the senior vice president of corporate development at Brightline, based in Central Florida, where she assisted in the development of their statewide rail vision with an emphasis on the expansion to Orlando and ultimately to Tampa.
Kefauver received a bachelor’s degree in urban planning from the University of Maryland and Master of Public Administration from the University of Central Florida.
