Brian Trotter joins HNTB as Tennessee transportation practice lead

Transportation expert brings 32 years of experience to the firm

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 9, 2024) Brian Trotter, PE, has joined HNTB as vice president and transportation practice lead for the firm’s Nashville, Tennessee office. Trotter has more than three decades of transportation experience in Tennessee and will support the firm’s growth with its clients across the state, including the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), the City of Nashville and WeGo Transit.

Brian’s leadership in this sector will support the firm in continuing to deliver innovative and best-in-class solutions for our clients.”

Trotter’s expertise is in the management and supervision of various civil works projects, particularly in the areas of civil site design, roadway design and traffic engineering. His experience includes the design of local and arterial roadways, industrial access roadways, interchange design, low-impact development, stormwater management, erosion prevention and sediment control, traffic signal design and analysis, traffic impact studies, cost estimating and specification preparation. He also has construction management, inspection, survey and drafting experience.

Trotter holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control. He has his Professional Engineering license in Tennessee and is an alumnus of the Transit Citizens Leadership Academy. Trotter is involved in the American Society of Highway Engineers and serves on the business practice committee for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee.
