Former FDOT leader brings nearly 25 years of professional engineering experience in the public and private sectors
TAMPA, Fla. (Oct. 23, 2023) – Bill Jones, PE, has rejoined HNTB as a senior project manager and vice president, supporting project and program delivery as well as design build strategy and delivery efforts. Jones brings nearly 25 years of professional engineering experience to his role in Tampa, including both public and private sector work.
“Bills work in the CEI, design and program management fields, paired with his leadership experience in his most recent role equips him with unique perspectives and best practices that will add tremendous value to his role with HNTB and to our clients across West Florida,” said Len Becker, HNTB West Florida office leader. “Bills focus on building relationships and genuinely understanding client needs will help to deepen our roots in West Florida,” Becker added.
Jones previously served as HNTB’s West Florida deputy office leader for two years. Most recently, he served as CEO for another consulting firm. His previous experience also includes the Florida Department of Transportation where he served as both the district construction engineer and director of transportation development.
Jones earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of South Florida. He’s a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida as well as Wyoming. Jones is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a proud alumni of the Florida Engineering Society.
