A.J. Widacki joins HNTB as senior project director

Veteran transportation professional brings more than four decades of experience designing and delivering major infrastructure projects

HOUSTON (Jan. 18, 2024) – A.J. Widacki, PE, has joined HNTB Corporation as a senior project director bringing more than 40 years of transportation engineering, highway design and project management experience. Throughout his vast career, he has worked on complex transportation projects for the Texas Department of Transportation, Harris County Toll Road Authority, the City of Houston, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County and Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, among others.

Widacki has successfully overseen the planning, design and construction stages of diverse infrastructure projects, including interstate highways, high-occupancy vehicle lanes, toll roads, drainage and transit centers. His broad design proficiency includes street and roadway design, horizontal alignments and vertical profiles for various elements, traffic signalization, traffic control plans, roadway lighting, and traffic signing and striping.

Prior to joining HNTB, Widacki served as the chief engineer of transportation for another consulting firm. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and is a registered professional engineer in Texas.
