HNTB promotes Jason Watts to north Florida group director

Industry leader has extensive transportation and planning experience

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Sept. 14, 2022) – HNTB Corporation has promoted Jason Watts, AICP, to north Florida group director. An associate vice president based in the Tallahassee office, Watts will lead the Tallahassee and Chipley, Florida, offices, continuing to provide unmatched service and project delivery to the firm’s north Florida clients.

Watts, who received his law degree from Florida State University after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, joined HNTB in 2021. Before joining the firm, Watts spent more than a dozen years with the Florida Department of Transportation, working in a variety of roles including chief counsel of contracts and special projects, and then as the director of the office of environmental management.

Watts is a member of the Florida Bar Association, is AICP certified and is a member of the board of directors for Friends of St. Marks Wildlife Refuge.
