Jeremy Sass named HNTB’s national transit architecture practice leader

Sass to spearhead national growth and advance high-impact transit architecture

NEW YORK (Aug. 7, 2025) — HNTB has named Jeremy Sass, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB, as its national transit architecture practice leader.

Sass has served in a range of strategic leadership roles at HNTB over the last decade and brings nearly 25 years of transit architecture and strategic business development experience to the role.

Sass will lead strategic growth initiatives, enhance client relationships and advance HNTB’s position as a national leader in transit architecture. His expertise in aligning transit architecture projects with community goals and client needs will drive the firm’s continued success in delivering transformative transit environments.

From serving as architect for Newark Liberty International Airport’s AirTrain replacement — featuring four new stations and a 2.5-mile automated people mover — to restoring Chicago Transit Authority’s historic Wilson Station with modernized, ADA-compliant upgrades, the firm brings both design vision and technical rigor. In West Virginia, HNTB worked with the West Virginia Parkways Authority to lead the design of three iconic travel plazas that blend architectural character with sustainable utility, while in Los Angeles, the firm delivered the Metro K Line light rail project, linking communities to critical opportunities across the region.
