HNTB adds key professionals to West Florida project controls group

Growth and strategic talent contribute to the diversity of the growing department

TAMPA, Fla. (Jan. 22, 2025) – HNTB’s West Florida office announced the addition of key professionals to its project controls department to support the growth and diversification of clients’ needs in the region. The new professionals provide a wide range of skills and experiences in construction and design-build, specializing in risk management, cost forecasting and schedule management for complex infrastructure projects.

Recent key additions to this group include Rob Wahr, senior estimator and team lead; Noah Giraitis, senior project controls specialist; Jeff Walker, senior estimator; and Griffin Baker, project controls specialist.

“Our project controls team brings a full suite of services to our clients,” said Len Becker, HNTB’s West Florida office leader and senior vice president. “We’ve actively diversified our team to ensure we are providing industry-leading services when it comes to project risk and cost management for our clients.”

Wahr has 14 years of construction, scheduling and cost management experience. Previously, he served as a risk manager in the firm’s national advisory group and was responsible for risk management processes. Giraitis is a construction controls professional with 16 years of experience and expertise in revenue reporting, revenue tracking and cost forecasting. With more than 32 years of experience, Walker has extensive knowledge in cost forecasting, project management, operations and financial management in the construction industry. As an experienced project engineer, Baker has performed extensive takeoffs on several scope items for major civil projects. He brings experience in managing labor costs, supplier negotiations, budget analysis and project cost performance.
