CHARLESTON, S.C. (Sept. 18, 2025) —Theresa McClure, HNTB national practice consultant and vice president, has been named an honoree for the 2025 Charleston Regional Business Journal Women of Influence Award. This annual honor recognizes women who are making significant contributions to their professions, communities and the state of South Carolina.
“I am honored to be recognized alongside so many inspiring women,” said McClure. “This nomination reflects the collective efforts of my colleagues, mentors and the communities we live and work in. Together, we are building a brighter, more connected future for South Carolina.”
With more than a decade of leadership in transportation infrastructure and strategic communications, McClure has distinguished herself as a visionary leader and community advocate. At HNTB, she works alongside clients to identify and solve complex challenges, drive innovation and deliver transformative projects that enhance mobility and quality of life across the region.
Among her most significant accomplishments, McClure helped lead the development of a groundbreaking research study on the economic and societal impacts of infrastructure investment in South Carolina. Other notable projects she has contributed to include the Lowcountry Rapid Transit project and the One Region Roadmap supporting the Berkley Charleston Dorchester Council of Governments in shaping inclusive, resilient and future-ready communities throughout the Charleston area.
McClure’s impact extends beyond her professional achievements. She is deeply committed to community service, regularly volunteering for local cleanups, supporting mobility initiatives and leading school-based projects that empower local youth.
As a champion for women’s advancement in engineering and transportation, McClure actively mentors emerging leaders and fosters a culture of empowerment and collaboration at HNTB.
