HNTB is the lead architectural designer for the Automated People Mover stations and maintenance facility at LAX, which will become the main artery for travelers coming into and leaving the airport. The design will offer a lasting impression for those using the system, with a mid-century modern aesthetic that reflects the City of Los Angeles. This includes elements of strong horizontality, simplicity and indoor/outdoor connection and artistic use of material elements such as concrete, steel and glass.
