Travis Pfeiffer named practice leader for HNTB’s St. Louis office

Demonstrated leader and accomplished project manager brings more than 20 years of professional experience to this new role

ST LOUIS, MO (May 1, 2023)  – Travis Pfeiffer, PE, has been named by HNTB Corporation as the St. Louis area practice leader, bringing more than 20 years of experience involving the planning, design and construction of road and highway facilities. He most recently served as the roadway department manager, helping deliver large-scale infrastructure projects across Missouri and Illinois.

“Travis is a proven leader with excellent technical knowledge and a strong commitment to the communities we serve. His vision and leadership skills will be a tremendous asset to our employees and clients in St. Louis,” said Gretchen Ivy, PE, HNTB’s Central States office leader.

In his new role, Pfeiffer is responsible for the daily direction and supervision of the local office and overseeing the client and project development processes in the greater St. Louis area. HNTB’s clients in the office include the Missouri Department of Transportation, Illinois Department of Transportation, METRO, the City of St. Louis and other local city and county governments.

Throughout his career, Pfeiffer has helped successfully lead highway and bridge projects in coordination with both the Missouri and Illinois Departments of Transportation, including design roles on five design-build projects in Missouri. He is also currently serving as the project manager for HNTB’s contract with the Missouri Department of Transportation to provide program management, traffic and safety analyses, NEPA investigations and conceptual engineering design for four projects in the St. Louis district.

Pfeiffer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. He is a licensed professional engineer in Missouri and Illinois.
