HNTB’s Yvonne Lopez-Diaz Recognized with COMTO’s Women Who Move the Nation Award

Honor recognizes dedication and collaboration in the transportation industry

WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 22, 2025) – HNTB’s Yvonne Lopez-Diaz, vice president and national workforce strategist, has been named one of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials’ 2025 Women Who Move the Nation.

The award, one of the highest honors given by COMTO, recognizes women who have made significant contributions to the transportation industry through leadership, innovation and advocacy.

At HNTB, Lopez-Diaz plays a key role in shaping effective team organization on projects and pursuits. She collaborates with leadership to identify the skills and expertise needed for successful project delivery and works to develop strategies for attracting and retaining top talent.

In addition, Lopez-Diaz serves as director-at-large for COMTO’s Central Florida chapter and as chair of the WTS Foundation Board of Directors. She also is a recipient of the Rosa Parks Diversity Leadership Award from the Greater New York and Inland Empire chapters of WTS. Her volunteer work includes contributions to Habitat for Humanity, the Ronald McDonald House and Children’s Home Society.

She has been involved in various professional organizations, including the Society for Human Resource Management and the National Association of Professional Women. In addition, she has served on the boards of the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce, Central Florida Zoological Society, Central Florida Community Foundation and the Walt Disney World Dreamers & Doers Organization.
