Reed brings more than two decades of experience with Illinois Department of Transportation, will manage highway design group for HNTB’s Chicago office
CHICAGO (July 8, 2022) –HNTB Corporation named Christine Reed, PE, its highway design group director in Illinois. An associate vice president based in the Chicago office, Reed will manage the delivery of ongoing projects with the Chicago Department of Transportation, Illinois Department of Transportation, Chicago Department of Water Management and other clients.
Reed brings to HNTB more than 30 years of experience in the civil engineering industry, including more than two decades with IDOT where she last served as deputy secretary responsible for the daily operations of the entire department. Most recently, she worked for 11 years as another consulting company’s senior vice president in charge of the Springfield, Illinois, office.

In addition to overseeing the delivery of current and ongoing highway projects, Reed will also assist the office in client development activities and project pursuits throughout the state of Illinois.
Reed received her Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
