Firm recognized for advancing women’s opportunities within the transportation industry
NEW YORK (March 4, 2025) – HNTB has been named Employer of the Year by the Greater New York (GNY) Chapter of WTS, an organization dedicated to advancing women’s opportunities in the transportation industry. This prestigious award honors HNTB’s unwavering commitment to offering exceptional mentoring programs, fostering opportunities for career advancement and promoting women into top leadership roles.
“As a firm – who has actively supported WTS-GNY at the highest level both locally and internationally – we appreciate HNTB’s continued vision of equity and access for women and transportation,” stated Ece F. Koch, President of the WTS-GNY chapter.
HNTB serves as WTS’ exclusive Pinnacle Partner, underscoring the firm’s strong commitment to WTS’ mission of advancing women in the transportation industry. On a national scale, HNTB boasts more than 365 WTS members, with 35 employees holding leadership positions at the international, national and chapter levels. HNTB is a Diamond Partner of WTS-GNY, with 24 members in the chapter, several of whom hold key leadership roles.

HNTB was presented the Employer of the Year award at WTS-GNY’s Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner on January 30, 2025 in New York City. Other recipients that evening included the Metropolitan Transportation Agency which received the 2025 Innovative Transportation Solutions Award for their Climate Action Plan. HNTB supported MTA in developing this plan that was recognized for its positive impact on the community.
