Firm recognized for advancing women’s opportunities and workplace excellence in Ohio’s transportation industry
COLUMBUS, Ohio (Sept. 29, 2025) – HNTB’s Columbus office has been named Employer of the Year by the Columbus Chapter of WTS, an organization dedicated to advancing women’s opportunities in the transportation industry. The firm was also recognized as a 2025 Best Place to Work by Columbus Business First.
“We are honored to be recognized by both WTS Columbus and Columbus Business First,” said Sarah Lee, HNTB’s Ohio office leader and vice president. “These awards reflect our commitment to building an inclusive, people-centric organization where every team member feels supported and valued. The evaluation also considers HNTB’s corporate practices, policies and philosophy, all of which contribute to the ranking.
Women comprise 46% of HNTB’s Ohio staff and 83% of its leadership team, reflecting the firm’s dedication to diversity and equity. HNTB teams have contributed to major projects across the state, including the Brent Spence Bridge, Lower.com Field and securing $50 million in Smart Cities funding, helping shape the future of transportation in Ohio.
