Seasoned transportation and business leader to drive initiatives for continued growth in the Northeast
BOSTON (May 27, 2025) – HNTB, a leading provider of infrastructure solutions, has announced Ellen White, PE, vice president, has been named sales officer for the firm’s Northeast Division. In this role, White will be responsible for driving sales and fostering growth across the firm’s eight-state northeast region. She will oversee the sales process, develop and implement strategic plans and strengthen client relationships that will further contribute to HNTB’s continued success in the Northeast.
Prior to this role, White served as HNTB’s Massachusetts office sales leader where she was involved with securing key projects for the firm including the MBTA’s Southwest Corridor project, MassDOT Office of Transportation and Planning’s Gilmore Bridge, and the Massport Trust Agreement.
Additionally, White has been a regional lead on several firmwide initiatives and growth strategies that supported the firm’s fleet and facilities group, its architecture practice and HNTB’s digital and resiliency solutions groups.

White has played a key role in expanding HNTB’s presence in Massachusetts during her five years as office sales leader. White also strengthened HNTB’s relationships with key clients, including the MBTA, MassDOT and Massport. Additionally, she has managed several high-profile transportation projects across the region, serving as program manager and construction manager for major initiatives across the commonwealth.

White is an active member of the engineering community having served in leadership capacities for the Boston Society of Civil Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts, the Engineering Center Education Trust and the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she was inducted into the department’s Academy of Distinguished Alumni. White is a licensed professional engineer in Massachusetts, Connecticut and North Carolina.
