Bringing more than four decades of aviation expertise to advance HNTB’s airport program delivery
SANTA ANA, Calif. – (July 8, 2026) – HNTB Corporation has appointed Andres Garcia, PE, as senior project director and vice president, based in the firm’s Santa Ana office. With more than 40 years of experience delivering complex airport programs across the United States and internationally, Garcia’s background spans all elements of airport development, including planning, design, program and project management, construction management, and alternative delivery for large-scale aviation infrastructure.
“Andres brings an extraordinary depth of aviation experience and a proven record of delivering some of the most consequential airport programs in the world,” said Jeff Watson, PE, HNTB West Division president and senior vice president. “His ability to navigate the technical, operational and stakeholder challenges that define large-scale aviation infrastructure will be an invaluable asset to our clients and to our firm’s continued growth in this market.”
Throughout his career, Garcia has led and delivered hundreds of airport projects spanning planning, design and construction. Among his most notable achievements is his leadership of the O’Hare Modernization Program, one of the largest airport redevelopment efforts ever undertaken in the United States. He has also contributed to major initiatives at Los Angeles International Airport, San Francisco International Airport, and Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, Peru, among others.

Garcia earned a Master of Science in civil engineering from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Universidad Metropolitana in Mexico City. He is a registered professional engineer in California, Illinois and Florida.
