Grantham’s two decades of military and aviation experience will support HNTB’s federal services growth across the West
LAS VEGAS (May 20, 2026) – HNTB Corporation has appointed Curtis Grantham as senior aviation project manager, based in the firm’s Las Vegas office. A retired U.S. Air Force officer with more than 20 years of aviation infrastructure experience, Grantham leads military construction initiatives within HNTB’s West Division while expanding relationships with federal and commercial aviation clients.
“Curtis brings a powerful combination of technical expertise, regional insight and trusted industry relationships that align with our strategic priorities in Las Vegas and throughout the West,” said James Long, PE, HNTB vice president and aviation infrastructure group director. “His experience spanning both military and commercial aviation will directly benefit our clients by enhancing project delivery, strengthening coordination and ensuring mission-critical infrastructure is delivered efficiently and effectively.”

Grantham has extensive experience delivering complex infrastructure programs, including overseeing the selection and management of designers and contractors on large-scale federal projects, and collaborating with commercial airports, which provides him with a comprehensive understanding of both public and private sector environments.
Most recently, he served as director of global operations for RED HORSE, the U.S. Air Force’s design-build unit, where he led large-scale construction and engineering efforts worldwide, managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with stakeholders across military installations, government agencies and private industry.

Grantham earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and holds Certified Project Manager credentials.
