HNTB and NFL Legend Drew Brees form exclusive partnership to advance sports architecture and infrastructure business

HNTB Corporation has announced an exclusive partnership with Drew Brees, renowned NFL legend, philanthropist and business leader. This strategic alliance is meant to amplify HNTB’s influence in sports architecture and infrastructure across the United States.

Brees brings a legacy of unmatched leadership, integrity and deep-rooted relationships across the sports, civic and business communities. As a Super Bowl champion and future Hall of Famer, Brees has long demonstrated the kind of vision, discipline and team-oriented mindset that aligns seamlessly with HNTB’s values and culture.

“Drew Brees represents excellence — not just on the field, but in every endeavor he pursues,” said Robert Slimp, chairman and CEO at HNTB. “His ability to connect with decision-makers, inspire collaboration and drive impact is instrumental as we continue to expand our footprint in sports architecture and infrastructure.”

The timing of this partnership is especially meaningful as HNTB celebrates the 50th anniversary of its architecture practice. During the past five decades, the firm has shaped some of the nation’s most iconic stadiums, arenas and civic venues.

Over the course of a 20-year NFL career, Brees was one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in league history. He was named Super Bowl XLIV MVP, selected to 13 Pro Bowls and retired as the NFL’s all-time leader in career passing yards and completions at the time. His leadership with the New Orleans Saints transformed the franchise and helped revitalize the city in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, cementing his legacy as both a sports icon and community figure.

Off the field, Brees and his wife, Brittany, established the Brees Dream Foundation, which has contributed more than $50 million to support cancer patients, improve education and youth programs and provide support for communities in need. His commitment to service mirrors HNTB’s belief in building more than infrastructure — building stronger, more resilient communities.

“Drew’s integrity and drive reflect the same principles we hold ourselves to at HNTB — collaboration, vision and unwavering commitment to excellence,” said Doug Mann, corporate development president at HNTB. “We’re thrilled to welcome him as a strategic partner who can help us lead the next era of innovation in sports and civic design for our clients.”

“HNTB is a company that designs more than facilities — it creates experiences, opportunities and communities,” Brees said. “I’m excited to partner with a firm whose values reflect my own and whose mission aligns with my passion for innovation, leadership and excellence in performance.”

This exclusive collaboration represents the next chapter in HNTB’s mission to shape the future of sports and public spaces — bringing world-class design, engineering and vision to some of the most iconic and impactful venues in the country on behalf of its clients.
