David Lowdermilk joins HNTB as senior project director in Pennsylvania

Forty-year industry veteran brings expertise in operations, project management and intelligent infrastructure technology

King of Prussia, PA (August 31, 2023)David Lowdermilk, PE, has joined HNTB as a senior project director and associate vice president in HNTB’s Pennsylvania office, where he will also serve as office sales manager. A well-known and highly respected industry leader, Lowdermilk will be responsible for helping the firm’s clients in Pennsylvania deliver their largest and most challenging transportation projects.

Prior to joining HNTB, Lowdermilk worked for another consulting firm, overseeing operations and driving success on projects throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, including general engineering and design services for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority and program management for the Delaware River Port Authority.  Before that he was responsible for the management and operations of a multistate transportation technology and intelligent infrastructure practice serving six states and offering modeling, monitoring and decision-making tools and technology for state departments of transportation and various bridge and toll authorities.

Lowdermilk received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Pennsylvania State University.  He is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Lowdermilk also is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and is a past president of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania and the National Society of Professional Engineers of Delaware County.
