Seasoned professional with more than 25 years of experience providing data driven solutions to advance client objectives
CHICAGO (Feb. 7, 2023) – Craig Bettmann has joined HNTB Corporation’s digital solutions group as a data science and analytics team lead in HNTB’s Chicago office. Bettmann brings more than two decades of experience using big data to better understand customer behavior and make process improvements. He provides data-driven solutions by utilizing business intelligence, intensive data mining, geospatial data, demographic segmentation and profiling, predictive modeling, machine learning and benefit-cost analysis to advance client objectives.
“Craig is a prominent data science professional who brings proven approaches in helping organizations in the private and the transportation sectors leverage the power of data for real operational improvements,” said Jeff Siegel, GISP, HNTB digital solutions director and vice president. “His ability to build and manage teams will be a tremendous asset as we continue to expand our digital solution services.”
In this role, Bettmann will focus on the superior delivery innovative and leading-edge data services and solutions to HNTB’s clients across the firms markets and professional services. This will include leading a focused team around analytics and data science services and solutions.
Prior to joining HNTB, he served as a senior vice president of client solutions with a data analytics firm where he designed and oversaw the implementation of data-driven solutions for clients to acquire, grow and retain customers. He also started and led the firm’s toll team through rapid growth in providing customer insights, analysis, data integration, and demographic and behavioral attributes of tolling customers to over 15 tolling authorities. Some of his clients have included the North Texas Tollway Authority, Pennsylvania Turnpike, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Toll Relief program.
Bettmann holds a Master of Science degree in economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. He also is a graduate of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association’s Leadership Academy.
