Longtime HNTB leader to guide strategic growth and infrastructure delivery across Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 16, 2026) – HNTB Corporation, has named Cameron McGown, PE, as Central States office leader and vice president. In this role, McGown will oversee the firm’s operations across Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa, leading multidisciplinary teams that deliver transportation and infrastructure solutions for clients and communities throughout the region.

McGown brings more than 20 years of experience with HNTB, where he has built his career across technical delivery, project leadership, operations, business development and client service. Most recently, he served as business development officer, supporting strategic growth, client relationships and infrastructure solutions that respond to evolving community needs. He previously served as Kansas practice leader, guiding market growth, client service and multidisciplinary delivery across the state.

Since joining HNTB in 2001, McGown has helped deliver complex infrastructure programs for transportation clients across the region, bringing experience in planning, design, program management, client strategy and multidisciplinary team leadership. His background gives him a strong understanding of the priorities shaping mobility, connectivity and infrastructure investment across highway, transit, aviation and other critical markets.

In addition to his project and client leadership, McGown is active in several industry and business organizations, including the American Council of Engineering Companies of Kansas, Economic Lifelines of Kansas, Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, Kansas Society of Professional Engineers and National Society of Professional Engineers.
McGown holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Kansas State University and is a registered professional engineer in Kansas and Oklahoma.
