Brandon Maurisak joins HNTB as project manager in Minneapolis

Experienced professional with a proven track record of successfully managing transit and rail projects

MINNEAPOLIS (May 25, 2023) – Brandon Maurisak, PE, has joined HNTB Corporation as a transit and rail project manager in HNTB’s Minneapolis office. With over a decade of experience in the transportation industry, Maurisak brings significant leadership experience and an expertise in rail and transit track design to his new role.

“We are excited to welcome Brandon to the HNTB team,” said Sara Hage, AICP, ASLA, HNTB’s Minneapolis office leader and associate vice president. “His experience and knowledge of the transit and rail industry make him a valuable addition to our team in Minneapolis and will help us continue to provide exceptional service to our clients.”

Maurisak’s experience includes supporting transit, rail and transportation projects through all phases of design and construction. He has worked on a variety of projects across the U.S., including the Capital Metro Orange Line, Metro Transit Blue Line Enhancement Project Phase 2, Metro Transit Southwest Light Rail Extension and the TriMet Southwest Corridor Light Rail.

Prior to joining HNTB, Maurisak served as a transit engineering lead for another consulting firm. He is a graduate of the American Public Transportation Association’s inaugural Emerging Leaders Program and was named to the Mass Transit 40 under 40 in 2019 and an ENR Top Young Professional in 2020. Maurisak holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University. He is a registered professional engineer in Minnesota, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
