Ben Goodner named office leader for HNTB’s Gulf Coast region

Seasoned infrastructure leader to guide strategic growth, client service and project delivery across the region

BATON Rouge, La. (Sept. 28, 2026) – HNTB has named Ben Goodner, PE, Gulf Coast office leader. In this role, he will lead office operations, support strategic growth, foster employee development and strengthen client relationships across the Gulf Coast region.

Goodner brings nearly two decades of experience with HNTB and a deep understanding of the Gulf Coast’s infrastructure priorities. Since joining the firm as an intern in 2007, he has advanced through a range of technical, project management and leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Gulf Coast bridge department manager and design manager for the $2.3 billion I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge corridor replacement project.

Throughout his career, Goodner has led teams supporting complex infrastructure programs for state and local agencies. His experience spans program management, bridge design and rehabilitation, flood protection, inspection and multidisciplinary project delivery.

As office leader, Goodner will work closely with employees, clients and industry partners to connect HNTB’s expertise and resources with the region’s evolving infrastructure needs.

Goodner earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Louisiana State University and is a licensed professional engineer in Louisiana. He is based in HNTB’s Baton Rouge office.

HNTB’s Gulf Coast region clients include the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Office of Louisiana Highway Construction, Mississippi Department of Transportation, Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, City-Parish of Baton Rouge, City of New Orleans, Ascension Parish, Capital Area Transit System and New Orleans Regional Transit Authority, among others.
