Established transit leader brings nearly three decades of program management expertise
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (July 27, 2026) – Christine Beckwith, PE, has joined HNTB as senior project manager, based in the firm’s Minneapolis office. Beckwith brings more than 28 years of extensive expertise in project planning, environmental review, engineering, construction, risk management and program delivery, as well as national experience providing Federal Transit Administration oversight for major transit projects.

Throughout her career, Beckwith has led and delivered major transit and transportation infrastructure programs across the United States. Her broad transportation background provides experience across the full project lifecycle, from oversight of multibillion-dollar FTA-funded capital projects, guiding transit projects through planning, environmental review, engineering, construction, revenue service and closeout. She has played a key role in improving project delivery, strengthening risk management practices and supporting successful outcomes for some of the nation’s most significant transportation investments.
Beckwith began her career with the Minnesota Department of Transportation, where she spent nearly a decade managing roadway, bridge, construction and maintenance programs before moving into leadership roles on major transit projects with Metro Transit. At the transit agency, she helped lead the delivery of the METRO Green Line and served as project director on both the METRO Gold Line and Blue Line LRT Extension.
Beckwith earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. She is a registered professional engineer in Minnesota, a certified project management professional and a graduate of the American Public Transportation Association’s Leadership Class of 2022.
