HNTB recognized by AMAC’s Atlanta chapter with Architectural and Engineering Impact Leadership Award

Award reaffirms HNTB’s commitment to AMAC partnership

ATLANTA (December 16, 2025) – The Atlanta chapter of the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) has recognized HNTB with its first Architectural and Engineering Impact Leadership Award, acknowledging the firm’s commitment to the chapter and its leadership in the architecture, engineering and construction industry. The Architectural and Engineering Impact Leadership Award, newly established by AMAC’s Atlanta chapter, honors organizations that demonstrate exceptional leadership, collaboration and a commitment to driving transformative impact within the AEC community.

“This recognition reinforces our commitment to advancing opportunity and shaping a more connected, resilient future of aviation, powered by our strong partnerships and shared vision,” said James Manley, AMAC Atlanta chapter vice president of finance and HNTB senior project director and vice president.

HNTB serves as the on-call architect for large projects and developments at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, supporting the airport’s vision for growth and development as the world’s busiest airport.

The firm’s commitment to advancing opportunity extends to the collegiate level as well with its partnership with the Atlanta University Center Consortium, the world’s oldest and largest group of historically black colleges and universities. Through the AUCC, students can pursue two degrees within

an accelerated five-year period. Students who participate in the program will complete three years of general coursework at an AUCC institution plus two years of engineering courses in a partnering engineering program, earning two degrees over the duration of the program.

“At HNTB, we believe in building strong connections within our communities, across our industry and with future leaders. These relationships are essential to strengthening public support for critical infrastructure, creating jobs and expanding economic opportunities throughout Georgia,” said Tim Morgan, Georgia office leader and senior vice president at HNTB. “Our partnerships with organizations like AMAC and AUCC foster collaboration and spark innovation, helping Georgia maintain its leadership in the transportation sector.”

The award was presented to HNTB during AMAC Atlanta’s Holiday Soirée at Atlanta City Hall. The event brought together industry leaders and community partners to celebrate the achievements and ongoing impact of the AEC industry.
