Updated, expanded space advances the firm’s 111‑year presence in Kansas City and supports continued growth in infrastructure services
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 12, 2025) – HNTB Corporation has begun a phased move from its longtime home at 715 Kirk Drive to 1111 Main Street in downtown Kansas City. The relocation will proceed in phases throughout the remainder of the year, with most staff working in temporary office spaces within 1111 Main while HNTB’s dedicated floors are built out. One of HNTB’s floors will be completed in January 2026 with the others targeted for completion by mid‑year.

HNTB’s Tom O’Grady
“As HNTB continues to grow, the move of our Kansas City office ensures our people can stay connected and collaborate while we complete a workplace purpose‑built for the future,” said Tom O’Grady, PE, HNTB president. “Being together in person strengthens relationships, accelerates mentoring and decision‑making, and sparks the spontaneous collaboration that’s harder to replicate remotely—ultimately helping us deliver better solutions. Our new home at 1111 Main will offer creative, flexible environments that further enhance how our teams deliver for clients today—while giving us the room to expand and innovate in the future.”
HNTB will ultimately occupy seven floors in the tower upon completion of the build out, each custom designed by HNTB’s architecture group. The firm’s logo signage will appear atop the building, reinforcing its visible, long‑standing presence in the city’s skyline. The building — formerly known as Town Pavilion — was originally designed by HNTB in 1986.
The fully renovated property sits directly on the RideKC Streetcar line and offers employees on‑site fitness, casual dining, retail and a conferencing space.
