Firm will support GDOT in delivering strategic upgrades to support the region’s rapid growth
ATLANTA (September 15, 2025) – HNTB has been selected by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to provide construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services for all roadway projects in District 3, which spans 31 counties in the west-central region of the state.
The scope of work includes new construction, widening, pavement rehabilitation, bridge replacements and resurfacing projects. HNTB will manage the work from its Macon office, a satellite of its Atlanta location, ensuring rapid response and robust staffing capabilities.

To support the immediate launch of CEI services in District 3, HNTB stood up a dedicated onboarding team that delivered a curated experience for more than 40 new hires.
