Award highlights firm’s commitment to employee satisfaction, workplace excellence and community-focused infrastructure solutions
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (August 25, 2025) − HNTB has been recognized as one of the 2025 Best Places to Work in Maine, an honor awarded by the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, Best Companies Group and BridgeTower Media.
The Best Places to Work program celebrates organizations across Maine that demonstrate excellence in workplace culture, employee satisfaction and organizational leadership. HNTB is in the large employer category for companies with 250 or more U.S. employees.
“This recognition is a testament to the culture we’ve built at HNTB,” said Matthew Hearn, HNTB’s Northern New England office leader and associate vice president. “It’s a place where people are encouraged to collaborate, grow, be servant leaders, and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve.”
HNTB has delivered transportation infrastructure solutions and projects across the state of Maine for decades. HNTB has supported the Maine Turnpike Authority as its general engineering consultant since 1945, delivering projects like the Portland Area Widening Program. HNTB also works with the Maine Department of Transportation on numerous projects, such as the Madawaska–Edmundston International Bridge and Veranda Street Bridge replacements.
Honorees will be celebrated at an awards ceremony on October 7, at the Augusta Civic Center.
