Naiel Hussein joins HNTB as transportation group director in Ohio

Industry veteran leads HNTB’s transportation infrastructure programs across the state

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Sept. 15, 2020) – HNTB Corporation has named Naiel Hussein, PE, transportation group director in the company’s Columbus office. An industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in transportation infrastructure, he leads multiple technical groups, directs project priorities, staffs assignments and coordinates schedules to deliver projects for clients across the region.

Hussein has extensive experience in design, planning and project management of major projects in Ohio. He has delivered projects on I-75 and I-70, Ohio River bridges, numerous state routes and other corridors. His technical expertise includes preliminary and final design processes that involve complex roadway geometrics, roadway drainage, bridge hydraulics, alignment studies, lane capacity, public involvement, maintenance of traffic, corridor studies, alternative analysis, utility relocations and final plan development.

Hussein is a graduate of Youngstown State University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Science Degree in civil engineering. He also is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers.

HNTB works on some of Ohio’s most significant transportation projects, including Smart Columbus, Jeremiah Morrow Bridge and Opportunity Corridor.
