Matthew Morel joins HNTB as project controls manager

Project management expert brings over 23 years of international infrastructure experience

ONTARIO, Calif. (May 12, 2021) – Matthew Morel joined HNTB Corporation as project controls manager in the firm’s expanding construction management practice. His responsibilities include overseeing construction and engineering projects, including project planning and scheduling, estimating and budget management, ensuring project quality and risk mitigation. He based in the firm’s Ontario office.

Morel has over 23 years of experience in project controls management, cost management, P6 planning and scheduling, contract management, and program and portfolio management. He has worked on large-scale projects and civil infrastructure programs in the U.S., Australia, and the United Kingdom.

Prior to joining HNTB, he served as an independent consultant on large-scale infrastructure projects in Southern California. Most recently, he acted as project controls manager contractor for gas operations business within San Diego Gas & Electric.

Morel received his bachelor’s degree in construction management from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.
