Leonard Transportation Center’s Regional Mobility Dialogue Series presents ‘A Year of Transportation Innovations in the Inland Empire’

ONTARIO, Calif. (Dec. 7, 2021) – Wrapping up its fourth year — and following five well-attended sessions in the 2021 season — the Regional Mobility Dialogue Series of the Leonard Transportation Center at Cal State San Bernardino continues its series of dialogues on topics relevant to the future of transportation in the Inland Empire. The next dialogue, titled “A Year of Transportation Innovations in the Inland Empire,” will be held Dec. 14 via live videoconference.

The series is open to the public with platinum level sponsorship from HNTB Corporation, the San Bernardino International Airport, and San Bernardino Valley College.

In this session, attendees will hear from transportation industry experts and local and regional leaders about new technologies and innovations in the transportation sector that will address crucial mobility challenges faced by the Inland Empire in coming years.

  • Matt Barth – Professor and CE-CERT Director; Director, College of Engineering-Center for Environmental Research and Technology, University of California, Riverside

As 2022 approaches, speakers will discuss a wide variety of new innovations poised to help the region tackle congestion through improved traffic flows and system efficiencies. Technical experts and local, regional and national leaders will share their visions for the future of transportation and how these transformative innovations will make life better in the IE.

Following the presentations, attendees will engage in a facilitated discussion with an opportunity to share concerns and ideas with transportation professionals, policy makers, students and each other. Transportation experts from the platinum sponsors will facilitate this discussion and bring their experience and expertise to benefit the dialogue.

As part of CSUSB, the Leonard Transportation Center brings people together to provide the facts, discuss the major issues and work to resolve them. The center is committed to the notion that finding solutions to the mobility challenges in Southern California is much more likely when people of all walks of life are engaged in the conversations.
